Meet Dr. David F Martin

Dr. Martin received his undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University. Dr. Martin then continued his optometric training and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2005. He then received additional training in Vision Therapy and Vision Development at the Kansas Vision Development Center, the largest vision development center in the state of Kansas. He has one young daughter.

Meet Dr. Alia Santoyo-Johnson - Optometrist and Vision Rehabilitation Specialist

We are delighted to announce the addition of Dr. Alia Santoyo-Johnson to the Family Vision Development Center family.  Dr. Santoyo-Johnson did her undergraduate studies at Marquette University where she graduated with honors.  She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry where she graduated with clinical honors.  Dr. Santoyo-Johnson enjoys working with patients of all ages and has experience treating dry eyes, ocular allergies, conjunctivitis "pink eye", diabetes and glaucoma.  She also has experience in diagnosing and treating binocular vision disorders.

She completed her clinical internship at the Vision Therapy Center in Brookfield, WI, The Illinois Institute-Advanced Care Center, Chicago Cornea Consultants, and the Battle Creek VA Center.  Dr. Santoyo-Johnson started working as a tech in a private practice while she was in college which motivated her to pursue a career in optometry.  These experiences have given her a great deal of clinical knowledge and experience that she brings with her to each and every patient.

Dr. Santoyo-Johnson takes special interest in binocular vision disorders such as focusing or accommodative disorders, oculomotor dysfunctions that create poor eye teaming skills, convergence insufficiency, strabismus and amblyopia.  She also treats advanced ocular disease such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and severe dry eye.

Dr. Santoyo-Johnson is very passionate about the field of optometry and vision therapy.  She will always strive to make your family's health and good vision her top priority.

Meet Kimberly Von Holten - Vision Therapy Director

Kim completed her BS in Education and has completed graduate level courses in special education and business. Kim joins the practice with over 10 years of experience in teaching, vision therapy and sales and recruiting. She started her career teaching behavioral/emotional students then worked as a vision therapist. Her most recent career was recruiting for a graduate school. She has two young girls.
